Our chef
Maribel Corcho is Taste of the Caribbean head chef and owner; she brings years of expertise and her grandma’s recipes to share with everyone. As a self-professed foodie, Maribel loves all type of good quality food, and entertaining.
This love affair led to her becoming co-owner of a dinner/dance club in Etobicoke. The venture was a great success, so much so that it started to take over their lives. After much debate, the decision was made to dissolve the partnership and sell the business. Both partners went back to a calmer lifestyle, and different ventures.
For Maribel that meant going back to corporate where she held senior roles in many different organizations and industries. Along side her corporate positions, she owned and operated a small business support company. Some of her clients; were owners of various type of food establishments. This kept her abreast of what was going on in the industry.
She never gave up the dream of getting back to sharing her grandma's recipes and her love of entertaining. The pandemic provided the perfect set of circumstances that gave her just the opportunity to open a local gathering place where food, family, fun, and music come together to crate a home away from home.
